Risk Management Program

Star’s Risk Management Program (RMP) is a pro-active loss prevention program.  This program anticipates problems and then develops systems to prevent possible claims. The RMP is an individualized approach to identifying and monitoring potential deficiencies in the clinical practice. This approach involves an on-site assessment with a full review of your practice. You are provided a written report with detailed recommendations. In addition, we work with the office staff to provide tools to simplify your systems by eliminating redundancies and creating efficiencies.

The assessment process consists of evaluating the following:

• ·	Delay in diagnosis
  ·	Failure to diagnose
  ·	Problems associated with access to care
  ·	System problems related to labs/tests and sharing of that information
  ·	Chart maintenance and information flow related to diagnosis
  ·	Confidentiality and privacy issues
  ·	Appropriateness and timeliness of medication usage
  ·	Patient satisfaction and problem resolution
