Thanks to everyone who participated in the Mock Trial
seminar on May 18, 2006 in Troy Michigan. The
Mock Trial Seminar was based on an actual case
that was tried before a jury. All the facts and
testimony of the witnesses were taken from
exhibits and transcripts from the original case.
Objectives:
1. Demonstrate the problems the defendant physician
is faced with at trial when he or she does not take the pre-trial
deposition process seriously enough.
2. Recognize how the failure to
follow advise of council and review records and other
pertinent documents, will make the trial
experience challenging.
3. Increased knowledge of the trial process.
4. Gain an understanding of the importance of
maintaining a “proper demeanor” in the courtroom.
